Nov 25 Thankfulness Photo - Money/Provision

I am thankful for the provision the Lord makes for my life and for my family. It doesn't always come in the form of money. I am thankful for the uplifting of friends and  sometimes even for the contentment of not having. I've seen a list for people who crave certain foods that lists what you are craving and then a corresponding list that tells you what you should eat instead. In my spiritual life I crave money or things, and want more possessions and really the corresponding lists says all I need is God!

Ecc. 5:10 He who loves money will not be satisfied with money, nor he who loves wealth with his income, this also is vanity.

Matt 6:24 No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You can not serve God and money.

This year as Christmas shopping begins and the holidays start to go wild, I am pulling back on how much I spend and how much I think about receiving things. It's just not really what it's all about and it shouldn't be all that important. I limited my gift giving and my gift budget and I already feel much more satisfied with the coming holidays. I've also already begun my holiday happenings with spending the weekend at my parents house with my cousins, and soon I'll be traveling to my in-laws for Thanksgiving, later we will be Christmas caroling and I'll also be doing a Christmas Boutique craft show. Plenty of fun and fairly cheap things to do, that don't have to do with Me, Me, Me or Money, Money, Money.

Enjoy the holidays and celebrate in a way that glorifies God.

42 Questions To Ask Your Spouse On Valentine's Day

If you and your spouse were on the Newlywed game show... would you win? My husband and I are going to a couple's retreat next month and decided to get a head start on it by brushing up on our newlywed gameshow questions. We actually did pretty well the first time through, but we keep giving each other pop quizzes to keep the answers fresh in our minds. Below I've made a list of common couples questions that you and your spouse might find fun to ask each other. 1) What is your spouse's all time favorite movie? 2) What would your spouse request as their "last meal"? 3) What is your spouse's favorite pastime? 4) What percentage of housework would your husband say he does? 5) What flavor of cake did you have at your wedding? 6) What is your spouse's ideal date night? 7) Excluding people, what would your spouse say is their most prized possession? 8) At what specific sport or game will you wife say she is better than you? 9) What is your spouse&#

Day two of our prep work for the Spring Cleaning Challenge! Today I'm going to give you a recipe for window cleaner.  I've also been told that using warm water and a little bit of cornstarch is a great way to clean your windows as well. I don't have a recipe or a ratio for you though. I hope you are gearing up for the Challenge, it's only 7 days away! Don't forget to leave a comment below if you want to join us for the Spring Cleaning Challenge. Sarah

Spring Cleaning Challenge- Day 21, Shower

I hope you had a wonderful weekend, celebrating Easter with family and friends. This week we will be focusing on the bathrooms. (I hope you don't have very many) Because I'm not getting this post out till late morning you might consider swapping today's task and tomorrow's. If you get up early and have already taken a shower you might not want to clean the shower today. Instead you can jump ahead to tomorrow and clean the shower curtain and liner. Then tomorrow morning when you take a shower you can clean it. Do whatever works best with your schedule. CHALLENGE: Clean you shower(s) till it sparkles. Here is a link back to the post about shower cleaner. It really does work the best; It makes my shower tiles sparkle! I find that taking a shower while cleaning it is the easiest way. If you have multiple showers, you might consider not getting soaking wet every time, or asking a spouse or child to help you. Take a scrub brush to work on grout mold, and a sponge to wipe
